Our Mission

Aberavon Surf Life Saving Club is a charity established in 1967 by a small group of founding members. We are a volunteer-run club providing young people with the opportunity to develop vital lifesaving skills in a fun and supportive environment.

We are affiliated to SLSA Wales and through them our goal is "to prevent the loss of life through drowning".

Whether you're interested in learning new skills, competing in a sport that pushes you to the limit, or just looking to make new friends, Aberavon SLSC is for you!

Our History

Founded in 1967, Aberavon Surf Life Saving Club has been dedicated to water safety and surf sports for over 50 years. We have trained hundreds of lifeguards and have been instrumental in preventing countless drownings along the South Wales coast.

What We Do

• Lifeguard Training: We provide comprehensive training programs to develop skilled lifeguards
• Water Safety Education: Teaching vital water safety skills to people of all ages
• Competitive Surf Sports: Training athletes for regional, national, and international competitions
• Community Outreach: Promoting water safety awareness throughout South Wales
